South Australia, 14 March

It is 9pm on a Thursday and after a full day at work the only place you'll find me is a place that most people want to avoid on late-night shopping.

That place is Marion Shopping Centre, in South Australia, which is filled with yummy bargains and is the home to one of the largest cinema complexes in the Southern Hemisphere.

Really, what attracts me to this place is the nightlife, and the Shnannigans Irish Pub in particular.  A Thursday night at 'Shannies' is Ladies night (what else?) and from 9-10 it's dollar vodkas for us girls only!  But it's not just the buck vodka's that draws us ladies, but check out the bouncers, the bar tenders and the guys that follow us girls around...

After 10:30 getting into the door through the crowd takes a bit of negotiating, but for a good night out would you expect anything less?

Music that gets even the shyest people into the middle of the dancefloor and the bravest onto the stage front-and-centre.  And for those of us who who don't mind a bit of the male body (wink) on this night, you get your entertainment with a male stripper.

Sorry girls, but it stays covered all the time (sniffle).  The boys don't miss out either because as us girls have a great time upstairs, the female dancers keep them entertained downstairs.

I guess what I'm saying is that if you are down in South Australia sometimes, and you are close to the Marion Shopping Centre on a Thursday night, come in and say hello.
